Jeff recently had an opportunity to meet with former U.S. President Bill Clinton. Mr. Clinton was a guest speaker at an event sponsored by the Canadian Society for Yad Vashem, a group promoting Holocaust education.
When Jeff was a journalist, he pursued Nazi war criminals across North America. Needless to say, he was honored when the Society invited him to write the speech that introduced the former president.
As president, Bill Clinton was a catalyst in helping elderly survivors of slave and forced labor camps find justice fifty years after the fact.
During their conversation, they talked about people they had in common, including Craig Smith, former White House political director and Howard Paster, who runs Hill and Knowlton worldwide.
Jeff told the former president his specialty is media counseling in tough no-win situations. They shared a laugh when Mr. Clinton said, "I've had a few of those."
